March 2000 to Present
Hyla Ecological Services, Concord, Massachusetts

Field Biologist
Assist with private and public projects surveying state-listed reptile and amphibian species in Massachusetts. Responsibilities include plant inventories, observing and recording animal behavior, monitoring and checking animal traps, radio-tracking turtles, collecting data for vernal pool certification and general administrative tasks for office.

Habitat Gardens for Native Flora and Fauna
Groton, Massachusetts

Landscape Designer
Design, consult and lecture on all aspects of sustainable landscapes. Create and design landscapes to enhance wildlife habitat and/or make recommendations to maintain or improve existing habitat.

Thesis project involved a master plan for an exisiting 8-house sub-division. Design was based on through site analysis, consultation of home owners and intensive research in the field of conservation biology. Biolgists were consulted throughout duration of the project. Final design implemented current scientific knowledge, site condition and human asthetics.

Related Activities:

National Audubon Society, 2001 started and continue to coordinate and organize the local Christmas Bird Count.

Nashua River Watershed Association, active volunteer for our area watershed providing support and education for the promotion of land protection.

Friends of the Oxbow, Bolton, MA, Board of Directors. Provide support and ideas to assist with on-going educational activities to the public.

Wetland Research, in eighth year of self-initiated study of local wetland. Study includes yearly monitoring of endangered turtle species, state-listed amphibians and continuous observations of wildlife and plants through all seasons.
